Personal relationships are so important. This is probably the most common tip, but for a good reason! Build a network of peers, mentors, etc. early as it can have a big impact on your professional life. Also, take some time to invest in yourself - as women we often are so focused on other commitments. And remember networking works both ways - think about the value you may bring to someone and how you may be able to help others in your network.
