Advice
After moving to the U.S in 2010, I encountered several challenges in the academic and professional environment. With English as my third language, I overcame language barriers in the classroom and professional world without taking ESL classes.
The strategy to this achievement is simple: put in the extra work through self-discipline and be persistent to reach success despite all failures. My self-confidence carried me through challenging moments.
As I always tell others: "Impossible is not a word in my growth and success dictionary. Alternatives, errors, trials, outcomes, open-mindedness and perpetual learning are words that I revisit quite often in my dictionary to achieve my goals and vision." Following this mindset, I am able to navigate a sea of responsibilities (full-time job, full-time student, and owner of a startup company) with no fear of failure.
